The 5th annual North Bay Polar Plunge is Saturday Afternoon at the North Bay Waterfront Marina.
One of the co-chairs Rob Saunders.
“Talk about taking the plunge. We have a young people Chris and Sylvie Thorne renewing their vows. The wedding is at 12:30 and the plunge at one.
He says after the ceremony the happy couple will take the Polar Plunge.
Overall, Saunders says they’re looking for 100 participants.
All the funds raised support Special Olympics.
He says their goal is around $20,000.
“Some of the money stays local and some goes to the provincial office but it all comes back to our athletes in one way or another,” he says.
