A blowing snow advisory is in effect for the North Bay area.

The forecast is calling for mixed precipitation and rain this afternoon, then blowing snow later today.

Environment Canada says strong winds will create blowing snow and low visibility this afternoon and tonight.

The winds and blowing snow will slowly ease tomorrow.

The rain and warm temperatures has spawned some massive puddles and pooling of water on area streets (Photo above submitted by Derreck Beatty).

Laurentian Ski Hill is closed today because of the weather.

All snow-school camps and programs will be rescheduled for another date.

Officials also say with colder temperatures on the way, they don’t expect the skiing base on the hill, will be affected in any negative way.”
