A 45 year old city man is facing charges after a couple of break-in reports early yesterday (Wed) in West Ferris.

Police say around 4:30 am a resident in the 300 Block of Lakeshore woke up and found a man trying to break into his residence, and scared the man off. A

bout an hour later, police responded to Wigston Drive where a homeowner confronted a man who was trying to steal property.

He left the scene but was arrested a short distance away.

In a separate incident on Sunday night, city police charged a 23 year old North Bay man with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.

This after a vehicle stop as part of a drug investigation in the downtown area.

Fourteen grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $2,100 was seized along with nearly $195 in Canadian cash.
