This year I have committed to having #fiftytwocoffees with fellow business owners in our community. Once a week I have been randomly paired with someone to meet, learn, and make a new connection! The idea is to bring the young business community together and grow a stronger North Bay!

For week six, I got to chat with Alyssa Bedard who works as a Health Promoter from the North Bay Parry Sound Health Unit.

We had a great chat about sports, healthy living and working as young professional in North Bay.

Alyssa competed in Cross-Country and Track at the university level, spending time at Laurentian University and Queens University. She’s looking to possibly get into coaching now and helping young athletes achieve their goals.

We also work for companies that recently moved in to the city’s down town core and talking about the transition and being part of that aspect of the city.

Part of Alyssa’s job is to work with students to bring healthy lifestyle related projects into their own schools and she says it’s always great to see what the students can come up with and how they like to educate their peers.

A pleasure to meet and chat with Alyssa.

Six cups down, 46 more to go!

Follow me and other young professionals in our journey over the course of the year by following the #fiftytwocoffees tag on social media platforms.
