A winter storm warning has been updated for the North Bay area with even more snow and blowing snow in the forecast.

Environment Canada says total accumulations could reach 30 to 40 cm by the time the snow tapers off tomorrow afternoon.

Strong winds, gusting up to 60 km per hour, are expected to cause blowing snow.

Earlier today, School Transportation officials advise schools buses are cancelled across the Nipissing, East and West Parry Sound Districts because of the ‘imminent snow’.

Schools remain open.
