Christian Propp saved all 26 shots he faced as the North Bay Battalion shutout Kingston 4-0 on Sunday at Memorial Gardens.

Battalion Assistant Coach Adam Dennis says it was a big game for Luke Burghardt, who had his first two-goal game of the season.

“He’s a guy that has had some chances in the last little while, and he’s also a real important piece for us, so for him to get the monkey off his back is big and to see him get two is really nice to see,” he says.

Coming off an injury, Troops defender Simon Rose was back in the lineup for the first time since December 31st, and scored a goal and an assist.

Dennis says it was great to be able to put him back on the ice.

“Rosie’s a chameleon, he can do so much for us, he plays both special teams, he can play a good offensive role, he can play defensively.  He’s an important guy for us back there, so to have him back really helps, gives us a little more depth,” he says.

Matthew Struthers collected assists on all four goals.
