Filming accident scene results in a large fine for local driver

Recording an accident scene with a cell phone has landed a city man a $615 ticket for driving with a hand-held communication device.

North Bay OPP tweeted that the 25 year old man was filming as he drove by a single vehicle collision on Hwy 17 West, near Jocko Point Road this morning.

There were no injuries in the crash.

If convicted, the man also faces a 3-day licence suspension.
