Last fall, Ontario’s Finance Minister and Nipissing’s MPP said he was prepared to take legal action against former PC Leader Patrick Brown over allegations of sexual misconduct referenced in a tell-all book.

Now, Vic Fedeli is taking action.

A publisher says Fedeli has demanded a full retraction.

Dean Baxendale says the finance minister’s lawyers served both him and Brown with a notice of libel.

Fedeli has called the allegations “categorically false and without any merit”.

In a phone interview with our newsroom in November Fedeli said, “throughout my career I have held myself to a high ethical standard in all of my interactions with people. There’s no validity to any of those accusations. They’re false and malicious.”
