For the first time since moving to North Bay, the Battalion have won seven straight games.

The Troops defeated Oshawa 4-2 last night at Memorial Gardens.

Brad Chenier (pictured) scored twice for the second straight game.

Assistant Coach Adam Dennis says Chenier has been impressive all season.

“He’s always had the skill and I think he’s starting to use that, and now he’s added his grit to his skill. He’s become a real complete player for us. He’s blocking shots and playing in all situations and he’s a real leader for our team,” says Dennis.

He also says goaltender Christian Propp has been really good over this stretch.

“I think he’s really calmed it down a little bit, he’s really been more controlled in his game. He’s freezing a lot more pucks and he’s controlling the play a lot better and it has been fun to watch,” he says.

Brandon Coe and Mitchell Russell also scored in the win for North Bay, who travels to Owen Sound tomorrow (Saturday), then Guelph on Sunday.
