Work continues on opening more runs at Laurentian Ski Hill.

Slingshot, Maples and the Beginner Hill are open so far.

General Manager Cam Graham says those are their three main runs.

“So, now we just keep spreading out, our snow guns are moving around and these temperatures are good for making snow. It should be, I think, we’ll be adding something new every day to the hill,” He says.

Graham says keep an eye on their website laurentianskihill.com and social media platforms for updates.

He also says the dumping of snow on New Years Eve was perfect for them.

“Whatever it was, 15 cm that just went thud, it wasn’t windy which sometimes puts it all in the bush when we get a snowfall, it literally just landed on the hill. When you groom that in with our man-made, it’s just the best,” Graham says.

The ski hill is operating on holiday hours from 9 am to 4 pm through Sunday.

Night skiing is slated to begin next Wednesday, January 9th.

Meantime, Mattawa’s Antoine Mountain has 15 runs open with the chair lift running daily from 9 am to 4 pm through Sunday.
