Local charity is once again benefiting from an annual gift-wrapping initiative.

From now until December 24th volunteers from Beta Sigma Phi sorority and Living Fit are wrapping gifts at Northgate Shopping Centre.

They’re located in the centre court area in front of the mall Christmas tree.

Each year the chapters of Beta Sigma Phi vote on which charity will receive the proceeds.

Donations from previous years have gone to the Gathering Place, North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation, Community Living, Nipissing Serenity Hospice, Operation Warmth, and women’s support services such as the Transition House and Amelia Rising.

Since starting the tradition 38 years ago over $200,000 has been donated to North Bay charities.
