A couple of high profile topics are on the agenda at North Bay City Council tonight (Tuesday).

There won’t be any discussion, but a motion for reconsideration on council’s previous decision to support a casino is up for a vote tonight.

At a special meeting last week, Council voted 8-3 in favour.

Meantime, the Summer In the Park report, including the event’s $247,000 deficit is coming forward tonight.

The report was released publicly on the city’s website in mid-November.

The shortfall was pinned on the concerts, with just over 1,200 tickets sold.

As for the economic impact the festival had on the community, it’s listed at $2.04 million.

Tonight’s last regular council meeting of 2018 begins at 6:30 pm with a couple of public presentations.

One involves the city’s family medicine recruitment program.

The other presentation is on the Dionne Quints Heritage Board.
