A 21 year old North Bay man is facing eight charges including possession of property obtained by crime, impaired driving and driving under suspension after a single vehicle collision on Sunday night.

Police say the crash happened on Robarts Avenue around 11 pm Sunday and involved a vehicle that was earlier reported stolen.

A witness saw a man leaving the scene of the crash.

He was located a short distance away by officers and arrested.

Meantime, North Bay Police are reminding motorists of changes involving the law and impaired driving.

There is now a lower standard for administering breath tests, which police say better equips officers to stop drunk drivers.

They say make arrangements with a friend or family members or call a cab if you have been drinking.

The legislated change also includes increased penalties.
