Snow depth in the area remains well above average when compared to 12 months ago.

The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority says average snow depth at reading stations in North Bay, Corbeil and Chisholm is just over 33 cm.

That’s 84 per cent above the norm.

The readings range from 31 cm in Corbeil to 36 in Chisholm.

The average for last December 15th is around 22 cm.

Water content in the snow is over twice normal at 57 mm.

The current 32.2 cm of snow depth at Chippewa Creek is the highest its been on a December 15th since 2012.
