As reported earlier this week, the city has been busy tshaking things up.

Mayor Al McDonald says the corporate reorganization is all about aligning the business units to become more efficient.

“We’ve removed managing directors from all the titles. There’s reason to do that. We want to move the city forward. This restructuring is a signal to our community that we’re open for investment,” he says.

John Severino takes over the role of City Engineer in charge of Infrastructure and Operations.

Ian Kilgour has been hired as Director of Community Development and Growth.

McDonald says they’re getting an experienced hand.

Mr. Kilgour brings a lot to the planning side. He has experience in the private and public sector and brings a lot to the table,” he says.

Lea Janisse becomes Chief Human Resources and Information Officer.

David Euler has been appointed interim CAO as Keith Robicheau is no longer with the city.

McDonald says there will be a search for a new CAO and Euler will be applying for the job.
