A popular beer is benefitting the battle against Cystic Fibrosis.

For the last two years, New Ontario Brewing Company and KiSS 100.5 teamed up to produce and promote the Tilted Tower Broadcasters Ale with funds raised from the sale supporting CF.

On Friday, a $2,000 cheque was presented by brew master Mike Harrison to Macrina Perron, the media coordinator of the North Bay chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

She says the awareness they’ve received through this initiative has been outstanding.

“More than the money the awareness that was able to be achieved was worth more than the $2,000,” she says.

Harrison says they’ve done this for two years and the success of the beer has been outstanding.

“This year we were able to sell close to 4,000 cans in a record amount of time and we couldn’t believe it. The community came out to support us and we sold a lot of beer, we raised some good money for CF and we raised awareness as well,” he says.
