The city is looking for input on the 2019 budget and beyond.

The first of two Budget Open House events goes tonight (Thursday) at the Davedi Club, from 6-8 pm.

Incoming Deputy Mayor and Budget Chief Tanya Vrebosch says it’s all about finding out what matters to people and what their spending priorities are for the city.

“Do they want to see certain things cut, do they want to see us add things, we really just want their input to help guide us, not just in 2019, but for the next four years,” she says.

Vrebosch is hoping for constructive feedback.

“If we can try to listen to them and show them that we are taking what they are saying to heart, and that we’re actually going to try and move forward with the majority of what people’s priorities are for the city,” she says.

Another open house event goes next Wednesday at Memorial Gardens.

Suggestions can also be emailed to 2019Budget@cityofnorthbay.ca or dropped off in the suggestion box on the main floor of City Hall.
