The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority and the city are undertaking an Environmental Assessment on the long term erosion and bank instability along Chippewa Creek.

In 2015, an erosion control study identified 10 high priority repair sites along the creek.

CAO of the conservation authority Brian Tayler says the top priority in the study was the area of the creek near Oak Street.

There will be an open house on November 8th and area stakeholders can look at possible solutions.
