Local business was honoured last night (Thursday) at the annual Evening of Excellence awards ceremony.

Orchards Fresh Food Market won New Business of the Year while KidsSport is Not for Profit of the Year.

Young Professional honours go to Brianna Campigotto, AMJ Campbell is the 1-5 employee Small Business of the Year, North Bay Gymtrix Gymnastics and Trampoline Centre is the 6-15 employee Business of the Year and Century 21 Blue Sky Region Realty is the 16-plus employee Business of the Year.

MPP and Finance Minister Vic Fedeli was named the inaugural Glen DuVuono memorial award winner.

DuVuono, a former secretary-manager of the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce passed away this year.

The North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce also presented the North Bay Area Community Foundation with $2,500 from their annual golf tournament in July.
