The North Bay Battalion fell behind yesterday and could never catch up as they were topped 4-1 by Peterborough at Memorial Gardens.

Assistant coach Adam Dennis says he liked the first ten minutes but the team didn’t keep it going.

“Once the first goal went in we were still okay but once the 2nd goal went in it wasn’t good. We’re a fragile group right now. The team wasn’t playing the way it was in the first 10,” Dennis says.

The Troops were down 3-0 in the 2nd before Brad Chenier scored North Bay’s only goal.

The Troops were outshot 45-33.

Dennis says goalie Christian Propp kept the Battalion in the game.

“We need him to be good and we knew that coming in. He’s always going to have to be a steadying force for us. The last two games he has been good and up to the task and he gave us a chance,” he says.

The team has released Kyle Potts and he has cleared waivers.
Adam McMaster was put on the top line. Dennis says they wanted to take some pressure off of him defensively by putting him on the first line with Justin Brazeau and Matthew Struthers.

North Bay will hit the road later this week for games in Flint, Saginaw and the Sault.
