A weekend split for the North Bay Battalion.

After a 7-5 home ice win Friday night over Hamilton, the Troops lost 6-0 in the Soo on Saturday night.

North Bay is back in action Thursday at home to Oshawa.

 

In the NOJHL, Powassan beat Timmins 4-3 in overtime yesterday (Sunday).

It was a busy weekend for the Voodoos, with three games in three days.

They won 3-2 in Cochrane on Friday and lost 3-2 in overtime in Hearst on Saturday.

 

In OUA women’s soccer, Nipissing beat Toronto 3-1 yesterday after a 2-all draw against Ryerson on Saturday.

On the men’s side, the Lakers lost 2-1 to Ryerson on Saturday, then 5-1 to Toronto yesterday.

 

In NDA senior boys football, the strong winds resulted in a low scoring night game between Widdifield and Franco Cite.

The Wildcats won the game 3-0.

Drenady Edwards punted for three rouges, two were assisted by the strong winds.

Both teams are now 1-1 on the season.

In another windy match-up Friday, St Joseph-Scollard Hall beat Algonquin 17-2.

The Bears had touch downs by Adam Courchesne and Nathan Fok.

Matteo Pavone kicked a field goal and had 2 singles.
