The 2018-19 campaign gets underway tonight for the North Bay Battalion.

They entertain the defending OHL Champion Hamilton Bulldogs at Memorial Gardens.

Coach Stan Butler doesn’t think scoring will be a problem for his team this year.

“Our offense will be pretty good, Christian Propp in net should be very good. Our defense is young and will take time to develop,” Butler says.

He says they’re starting in the deep end of the pool, playing back-to-back games against the OHL finalists.

“You always wonder how your team is going to do, we’re going to get a good test this weekend, we play Hamilton then we hop on a bus and go five and a half hours and play Sault Ste Marie,” he says.

The Greyhounds, who the Troops play tomorrow, lost to Hamilton in the OHL final last year.

Broadcast time tonight on Country 600 CKAT is 6:55 pm.

A tailgate party starts at 5:30 pm.
