It’s a chance to give away unwanted household items for free… Goods Exchange Day is tomorrow (Saturday) in the city.

Officials say unwanted, usable items like furniture, clothes, books, toys and tools can be placed at the curb at 8 am for anyone to take away, for free.

The city says leftovers must be removed by six o’clock.

 

Chippewa Creek’s natural hertiage is being celebrated tomorrow.

The inaugural Chippewa Creek EcoPath Festival goes from 10 am to 3 pm.

Opening ceremonies will be at the trailhead sign on McGaughey Avenue, off Fisher, near the bypass.

Over a dozen community groups lining the trail between Thomson Park and Second Avenue with interactive, family-friendly displays and activities.

 

North Bay’s JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes goes Sunday at Lee Park.

Check-in is at 9:30 am with the event starting at 11 am.

For 25 years Canadians from coast to coast have been taking part in the walk to raise funds to accelerate the pace of type 1 diabetes research.
