A report on replacing West Ferris Arena is coming forward at tonight’s City Council meeting.

Council could go with a city-owned property, with the committee recommending the Omischl Sports Complex, or they could go to the private sector after putting out the call for proposals.

At least two that were submitted involve arena proposals at the North Bay Mall and on Pinewood Park Drive.

Nipissing University and the Near North District School Board also presented to the city earlier in the process.

Back to tonight’s meeting, there’s a couple of councillor motions on the agenda.

One involves change rooms at the Omischl Sports Complex.

Another is a NAFTA resolution.

A few items will be discussed at the earlier committee meeting, including a second off-leash dog park for North Bay.
