Proponents of a universal prescription drug plan are holding a town hall on Pharmacare tonight (Wednesday) in the city.

The North Bay and District Labour Council and the Canadian Labour Congress are holding the event at the Davedi Club.

The forum is taking place from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Officials say no one should have to choose between paying for groceries or the medication they need.

They say 3.5 million Canadians can’t afford to fill their prescriptions.
