HANDS. the Family Help Network has received a $20,000 cheque from North Bay Fire Fighters from the sale of calendars.

Director of Corporate Services at HANDS Paul Laperriere says the funds will stay local and support kids with autism.

“Special software for autism kids, ipads that run that software and playground equipment. That’s what this money is meant to do,” he says.

Firefighter Jim Daly says previous calendars have included shots of the firefighters at fire stations but this time they decided to go out in the community.

“There’s a shot of us on top of city hall with North Bay in the background. It’s an amazing photo. We’re also in other areas of the city including local beaches. We’re not just around the fire hall any more,” Daly says.
He says expenses were covered off by monthly sponsors and their main sponsor Rebuilt Resources.
