The North Bay Food Bank is trying to get the word out about its resilient project.

Caroline Corbett is on the food bank’s board of directors.

She was at a chamber of commerce board meeting last night to provide information on what they’re doing including a campaign to convince chamber members to have food bank donation bins.

She says this would make it easier for employees to take the food of the month which is displayed at many grocery stores at the community to their place of business.

“We’re trying to promote this game changing idea that if people would get into the habit of grabbing 1 of the foods of the month every time they shop this would supply enough food would ensure hunger is not a community problem any more,” she says.

Corbett says food of the month stickers are well placed in grocery stores.
Infact, she says Parker’s Your Independent Grocer does a great job of displaying what the food of the month is right on the shelves in the canned good sections.
