Summer In The Park is receiving $50,000 from the province and the announcement gives a bit of a tease about this year’s festival.

The Ontario Celebrates funding lists the event name as ‘Summer In The Park Makes A Lot of Noise With a Silent Dance Party’.

Details have yet to be announced.

Meantime, Powassan’s Smoke ‘n’ Spurs Festival receives over $26,000 and West Nipissing’s River and Sky Music/Camping Festival gets over $21,000.

The province says they’re investing in over 300 Festivals and events, a record number, to boost the growing tourism sector, create jobs and offer residents and tourists more reasons to discover and explore the province.
