It’s a funding boost that will help over 40 northern entrepreneurs grow their business and create or maintain upto 90 middle-class jobs in the region.

MP Anthony Rota announced $510,000 is flowing from FedNor to Innovation Initiatives Ontario North (IION), for their Triple-P initiative.

“I’m proud that today’s announcement will help accelerate business development and growth, while creating jobs and new opportunities in Northern Ontario. By supporting IION’s Triple-P initiative, the Government of Canada, through FedNor, is helping local businesses to scale up production, increase sales and create good paying jobs right here in the region,” said Rota.

“Productivity, process and prototype are the driving force behind our Triple-P initiative and we are proud that our partnership with FedNor will allow us to support businesses in these three key areas. Northern Ontario has limitless potential and we are excited that this strategic initiative will deliver business solutions that will position Northern Ontario firms for immediate and long-term success,” said Rob Deline, Executive Director, Innovation Initiatives Ontario North.

Businesses can get up to $10,000 to help adopt new technologies, enhance productivity and increase their global competitiveness.
