The Powassan Voodoos offence was on display at the NOJHL Showcase this week in Sudbury.

After outscoring Espanola 5-4 on Tuesday, the Voodoos doubled up on Blind River 6-3 yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

Harrison Isreals and Tomas Yachmenev each scored two goals.

Shane Beaulieu and Tyson Gilmour (pictured) added singles.

Next up, Powassan is home to Elliot Lake tomorrow night.

The Voodoos are 10-2 on the season.

 

Round two of the OFSAA girls golf tournament goes today at the North Bay Golf and Country Club.

Strathroy’s Taylor Kehoe is the leader after shooting an opening round 74.

She’s three strokes ahead of Erin Kim from York Mills. NOSSA champ Jaye Harrington from St Joseph-Scollard Hall, is tied with two other golfers in 77th place.
