21 people in northeastern Ontario have died on OPP Patrolled roadways through the first 9 months of the year.

North Bay OPP say not wearing a seat belt was a factor in two of them while inattentive driving and speeding were involved in four each.

Alcohol or drugs were a factor in two fatalities.

OPP will be watching for those four causes this weekend during Operation Impact.

North Bay Police are also taking part in Operation Impact this long weekend, watching for the same so-called “big four” factors in collisions.
