A Trout Creek woman is a quarter million dollars richer.

Kimberly Bester-Melanson won the top prize of $250,000 in a recent instant crossword deluxe game.

She says she scratched her ticket at home where she found out she won.

When she back to the retailer which was at Trout Creek General Store the terminal shut down so she knew she won a big prize just not how much until OLG called the store.

Bester-Melanson says some of the money will go to pay off her daughters student loan.

The win is good timing too since her daughter is expecting a baby in a couple of months.

She says she will also spend the winnings on a new car for herself and help her son pay off his truck.
