Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the North Bay area.

5 to 10 cm of snow is in the forecast for today (Friday) with freezing rain and mixed precipitation tonight.

Officials say the freezing rain will change to rain tomorrow morning as the temperature rises above zero.

Meantime, school transportation officials advise that with the impending weather all school buses are cancelled across the district today (Friday Feb. 24th, 2017)

Schools remain open.
