The North Bay Snowmobile Club, along with most of the district, has CLOSED all Club trails.

Officials say the rain and mild temperatures are to blame.

They say conditions are deteriorating so rapidly that the only safe and practical solution is to close and gate trails.

Pointing to safety being their primary concern, they’re asking people to stay off the trails and waterways until further notice.

Meantime, on Thursday, the mild weather was impacting Laurentian Ski Hill for a second straight day.

The hill closed early and there wasn’t any night skiing.

However, officials are expecting to continue with their regular schedule through Friday and the rest of the weekend.

They say this is being done to protect the existing base of the hill.

Still with the mild weather, the city advises all outdoor rinks in North Bay have been closed for the season.
