Job Fair

Recruitment officers were excited about the prospects of new employees at the North Bay job fair today (Tuesday).

Hundreds of people in and around the North Bay area showed up to the Davedi Club to meet with representatives of over 50 different businesses.

Darren Long is with Freedom 55 Financial and he says he talked to people from North Bay, Bonfield, and Powassan.

He says the Job Fair is a really useful recruiting tool as people show up and are very open to learning about different areas of work.

Long says he was at last year’s career fair as well and he says the turnout this year was even better.

Marc Leblanc is a recruiter at Levert Personnel and he says there were many benefits to attending the job fair.

He says they get to meet potential new employees, give their own business some exposure and also look into partnerships with the other businesses in attendance.

Leblanc says it was a solid turnout for potential new employees as they had met with over 300 people before the event was over.
