Captain Mike Amadio did all he could, but the Battalion couldn’t get a point in the Kingston Frontenacs 6-5 win over North Bay on Saturday night.

Amadio scored five goals for the Troops, a North Bay Battalion franchise record.

He now has 35 goals on the season and has surpassed the 200 point mark in his OHL career.

The Battalion trailed 4-1 after the first period but fought back and eventually tied the game at five in the third period.

Kingston then took the lead for good at the 12:10 mark of the third period.

Jake Kment made 36 saves in the loss for North Bay.

The Troops are back on the ice tomorrow (Monday) on the road to Ottawa to take on the 67’s.

Broadcast time on Country 600 CKAT is 1:35 pm.
