First sNowcourse of 2016We’re seeing below normal levels of  water equivalence in the snow in two regional watershed areas.

Both the La Vase River and Wasi River watersheds are showing these characteristics as recorded by the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority.

However, snow depth is above normal for this time of the year in both those watersheds, due to the low density of the snow.

Meantime, the findings in the Chippewa Creek watershed, for both snow depth and water equivalence are below normal.
