mulcairFederal NDP Leader Tom Mulcair isn’t waiting for the fall election call.  He’s hitting the campaign trail in the crucial battleground of Ontario, starting today (Monday) in downtown Toronto.

With his New Democrats leading in the polls, Mulcair will spend the next eight days on a tour that will make stops all around Ontario to showcase his team and his policies in ridings he feels his party can take from the ruling Conservatives.

Mulcair‘s tour of Ontario comes to North Bay next Monday.

Meantime, federal funding abound for Nipissing-Timiskaming, from the Harper Conservatives.

MP Jay Aspin is joined by Associate Minister of Defence Julian Fantino for a funding announcement today at the Troy Armoury.

Aspin hosted the Employment and Social Development Minister for a few funding announcements last week and welcomes the Minister of State for Science and Technology for a couple more funding announcements tomorrow.

The federal election is expected to be called for October 19th.
