oil and waterA billboard has been unveiled to showcase a message to TransCanada.

Elizabeth Fraser is the spokesperson for the Concerned Citizen’s Coalition, and she says her group held a rally on the weekend on Trout Lake.

She says the goal was to have fun at a beloved beach while also discussing a serious issue.

She says “our group wants to raise awareness about the threat to our drinking water source, and what better way to do it than to put a billboard up right beside our lake.

Fraser says the billboard was unveiled on the weekend and it provides a strong visual message.

She says the title says “Oil and Water don’t mix; No Energy East.” The picture shows the possibility of oil dripping into Trout Lake.
