nathilde bazinetThe Nipissing Serenity Hospice has proposed a new site for their facility and they will know within the next couple of days about the confirmation for the new proposed site. Once the proposal is confirmed, the hospice would be located in the area of John Street and just past Second Avenue.

Mathilde Bazinet is the chair of the board of directors for the Nipissing Serenity Hospice and she said they’d like to start construction by next spring.

“Our architects told us it could take 8 to 9 months to build,” said Bazinet. “So we would be opening in 2016”.

For anyone who would like to use the facility, they’d have to go through a priority selection process done by the hospice and the Community Care Access Centre.
