Local musician wins northern music award

A local winner at the Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards.

North Bay’s Rose-Erin Stokes won Best Vocal Performance on a Recording for the song “Break” on her debut EP “Not Alone“.

The event was held in Sudbury on the weekend with 11 different awards handed out.

Stokes was also nominated in the Best Album by a Solo Artist category, which was won by a musician from Sault Ste Marie.
