Cirque MechanicsNorth Bay is about to experience a show that the New York Times calls “exceptional, evocative, eye-catching and grossly entertaining“.

Cirque Mechanics‘ Pedal Punk is on stage at the Capitol Centre on Sunday night at 630 pm.

The family friendly show uses a towering set and includes acrobatics, bike tricks, comedy, contortion and juggling.

Meantime, “North Bay — Beauty in Unexpected Places.”

That’s the theme of a photo art appetizer and wine reception tonight (Thursday) at the Discovery North Bay Museum.

The North Bay Heritage Gardeners fundraiser involves 21 photographers and 38 matted, framed photos.

The photographers will be on hand tonight to discuss their work.

Tickets are $50, with the opportunity to win one of the photos at the reception — which runs from 6-9pm.

 

Insights and SoundsAnd St Joseph-Scollard Hall is celebrating the arts tonight (Thursday).

Their annual event, ‘Insights and Sounds’ includes a visual art gallery viewing at 6 o’clock and a lineup of performances in music, dance, video production and drama starting 7 o’clock.

Tickets are $5 at the door.
