sitp2We’ll learn who is playing at this year’s Summer in the Park tonight (Monday).

The Summer in the Park Committee will unveil their lineup at CIty Council, in the form of a public presentation.

It’s one of five presentations lined up for tonight’s meeting, but it’s not the only tourism related item.

Mayor Al McDonald says council will also see a report on ATV access on city roads.

As well, water meter rates will be a topic of discussion tonight at City Council. They will vote on the fixed-variable cost with two different options at the table.

The amendment is a 40-60 fixed-variable split and should that not get passed, there will be a vote on the original recommendation of a 60-40 split.

McDonald says once Council accepts a rate, they will focus on the policy of the water meters.

He says that includes figuring out how to bill consumers properly in extreme weather conditions.

Overall there are five public presentations scheduled, with several items on the agenda and three in-camera reports as well.
