Hope2Kenya is a grassroots group locally that has helped make a difference in Kenya.

Sandy Foster started the organization about 11 years ago.  She says they’ve built schools, an orphanage, women’s shelter and more.

Overall, Foster says they’ve had incredible success stories with local sponsors helping people in Kenya graduate from school — including some in nursing and medicine.

A pasta dinner fundraiser goes from 5 pm to 630 pm at Trinity United Church on Saturday.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Foster says they’re holding a fundraiser on Saturday to raise money so a manager can run one of the schools.
