Eight local residents ran the 2015 Boston Marathon

Callander’s Meghan Duffy was the top local runner at the Boston Marathon on Monday.

She completed the event in 3 hours, 19 minutes and 23 seconds.

Three Callander residents and five people from North Bay completed the marathon.

The local runners included Duffy, Karen Tays, Gregg Kanmacher, Andrew Spencer, Gerald Brazeau, Patrick Miller, Ken MacGillivray and Ahmed Jouar.
