A young local hockey player has made a generous donation to the Points4Paul program.

President and CEO of the North Bay Regional Health Centre Tammy Morrison says 14 year old Malory Dominico was able to raise $300 for the program.

Morison says “she invited a bunch of kids to her birthday party and said instead of giving me gifts just bring a donation for the charity.” Points4Paul is a charity started by Battalion Forward Nick Paul.

Every time he records an OHL point, you can donate to the charity with funds going towards the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit.

Dominico’s mother Natalie says her daughter had a personal reason for wanting to help out this charity. She says “Malory is a big Nick Paul fan, but she also had an older brother who had to travel to Sudbury instead of getting treatment here in North Bay.”

Natalie says it warms her heart to see her daughter come up with this idea.
