transitRoutes, service and cash fares are changing for North Bay Transit.

Beginning May 31st they will introduce new routes to the city’s bus fleet, including “peak time service” with more buses running along major routes.

Transit supervisor Luc Lirette says these changes were made to reflect what the public wanted with their transit system.

Meantime, beginning June 1st, single cash fares will increase 25 cents, to $3.

There is also a Family Travel Pass Plan, which allows three children under 16 years old to ride free with a paying parent.

An information booth will be set up at the Transit Terminal, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
