Peewee A Ice Boltz and Temiscaming Titans are both champions

The North Bay Ice Boltz Peewee A girls (pictured above) won the Nipissing District Tier 1 championship on Sunday in Verner.

They scored a 5-4 overtime win over Temiskaming Shores in the final.

It’s the first time an all girls team has won a rep hockey championship at this level, in this league.

The team is ranked in the top 3 in Ontario and is off to the provincials in two weeks.

And the Temiscaming Titans (pictured below) are Greater Metro Hockey League champions.

They won game five of the final on Friday night in Temiscaming, 3-2 over Seguin to win the series 4 games to 1.

After receiving the Russell Cup, the Titans each took their turn to parade the cup in front of their home town fans.
