A couple of bronze medals for former Chippewa Raider Sarah Swain at the CIS national indoor track and field championship.

The University of Windsor athlete raced to a personal best 8.45 seconds to claim the bronze medal in the 60m hurdles before joining the pole vault competition already in progress.

Swain also registered a personal best height of 3.91m  to claim her second bronze medal of the night.

Meantime, another former Raider, the University of Guelph’s Alison Fung suffered a season ending injury in warm ups and was unable to compete in pole vault.

Fung (pictured below with her Guelph teammates) is taking the next 6 to 8 weeks off before re-evaluating her ability to take part in the outdoor season.
