budget cutsWe could start to see the final pieces of the budget coming together tonight (Wednesday).

Council will meet yet again for the final round of talks for ideas on how to lower the overall increase.

Right now it stands at a 2.86% increase and Budget Chief Sheldon Forgette says that doesn’t have full support around the table, and that’s why they are working on lowering it.

A variety of initiatives have been agreed on tentatively in the 5th floor boardroom.

Forgette was asked if everything will be accepted when it comes down to the council chambers.

He says the hope is it also gets approved in Council Chambers, but if it doesn’t, they will just go back to the drawing board.
